Achocha cucumber (Cyclanthera pedata)
Achocha is a climbing plant from the same family as cucumbers and is native to the Andes. It produces fruits with a similar taste, perfect for adding crunch to your dishes. Easy to grow and naturally resistant to striped leaf beetle, these fruits are ideal for home gardeners. It is recommended to pick the Achocha when it is still small, as this is when it offers a particularly crunchy texture. You can eat Achocha raw or marinate it to diversify your recipes.
The vast majority of our varieties are produced on our farm. However, some are grown elsewhere, and this is the case of this variety which was produced by Semences Nouveau Paysan, a local certified organic producer.
