Frontenac tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)
Dark red heirloom tomato, authentic, cold-hardy, flavorful
L'origine de cette tomate n'est pas connue, mais selon une source sur le web elle proviendrait de la région de Lanaudière et serait très ancienne. C'est ma découverte de l'année, le fruit, de grosseur moyenne (100 à 200 gr), est d'un rouge foncé, très rond et régulier, et d'une saveur vraiment authentique. Performe bien en région plus froide ou à saison courte. Une bonne vieille tomate de nos jardins!
