Vegetable sponge, and therefore biodegradable, for a zero waste lifestyle. Versatile, this plant can also be ornamental with its many yellow flowers, and vegetable since the fruits can also be eaten if harvested young. Cultivation in greenhouse or tunnel recommended.
MAINTENANCE AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Long cultivation for our Quebec climate, maximize the chances that your squash will reach maturity by growing in a greenhouse or under tunnel. Soak the seeds in hot water (45 to 55°C) for 20 minutes, then in water lukewarm (30 degrees Celscius) for 24 hours before sowing.
