Dans les années 1960, MonsieurQ Réginald Lefebvre possédait une ferme à St-Rémi, auQuébec. Un jour, des Espagnols lui demandent quelques arpens pour cultiver leurs tomates. Il accepte et découvre en les côtoyant le potentiel de l'une de leur variété de tomates. Il la cultive à son tour. En 1981, faute de relève, la ferme est vendue, mais la tomate, elle, passe à l'histoire!
