Sweet pear-shaped cherry tomato.

Red Fig tomato is an heirloom variety originating from Philadelphia and dating back to 1805. It was traditionally dried for preservation throughout the year and eaten like small figs during the winter, which is where its name “small figs” comes from. The fruits are sweet, pear-shaped, and measure about 1 1/2 inches. **CARE AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS** Gradually acclimate the plants to outdoor conditions about 10 days before planting by placing them outside during the day. When planting, lay the plants horizontally while gently bending the stem so that the leaves point upward.
