La tomate Red fig est une variété du patrimoine ayant comme origine Philadelphie, et datant de 1805. Elles étaient traditionnellement séchées afin de les conserver toute l'année, et mangées comme des petites figues durant l'hiver, d'où leur nom de petites figues. Elles sont sucrées, en forme de poire et mesurent environ 1 1/2 pouce.
